ZopIM LLP

Sales conversion Instant Messaging Platform

ZopIM seeks to create the best sales conversion instant-messaging (IM) platform in the live-chat industry. It provides useful and reliable live-chat software to clients, who are then able to engage in conversations with website visitors, to keep track of site visits in real time, and to analyse the browsing patterns of visitors.

ZopIM was formed by Royston Tay (NCSV Jul 2005), Julian Low Junliang (NCSV Jan 2006), Kwok Yang Bin (NCSV Jan 2006) and Wu Wenxiang (NCSV Jan 2006), largely as a result of a wager with Tim Draper from DFJ Ventures, who challenged the team to show him a prototype of the idea within two months. The team rose to the challenge with the thought that it was a joke, only to realize otherwise when a presentation date was scheduled by Draper’s Personal Assistant. Two months of sleepless days and nights later, Julian Low, the CEO, presented the product to Draper in his Sand Hill office over a teleconference with all relevant parties involved, thus began the story of ZopIM.

Printeet

Online Photo Finishing

The idea for Printeet flourished in 2006 and was founded by Dionis Chua (formerly known as Cai Jiahui, NCBV 4) in 2007. Printeet is an online personal publishing service that helps people get creative about capturing and sharing their memories from the comforts of their homes. It enables photos to be printed the conventional way or on gifts such as mugs, badges and t-shirts. Printeet emphasizes high quality printing because it understands its importance to customers.
Dionis loved to print photos and make photo gifts online when she was in the USA. She realised the lack of such services in Singapore, especially on one occasion when her father (who is in the photo-copying and photo-printing machine business) could not find an online photo-printing service for his needs. Having access to the machines required, the father-daughter pair decided to bridge this gap, and a new wing from the trading company was spun off to form Printeet.
